NCS Fundraisers
Ways to help NCS Financially
There are seven ongoing fundraisers at
NCS that do not cost any money, and are a great help to the
school! Please browse through to see if there are any in which
you can participate.
Giant BonusCards and Keytags
Those keytags or cards they swipe every time you check out at Giant can earn the
school money, and it costs you nothing! Giant will donate 1% of all
the money you spend to the school through the
A+ School Rewards program.
Enter your name and bonus card number below.
You may also enter your email and the NCS Family who referred you,
if you wish.
Grocery Cards
If you are already participating in this
fundraising program, we would like to thank you. Last school year,
you helped to raise over $5,500 for NCS!
If you have not used the gift card program yet,
we would like to encourage you to do so. When you receive your cards,
they can be used just like any other gift card. You will pay no more
than you usually would for your groceries. Your card may be reused
until the balance reaches zero.
Because we purchase the cards in bulk amounts,
NCS receives 5% of the value of every card. Just imagine how much
our school families must spend on groceries each week! If we would
all consistently participate in this simple program, we could earn
a significant amount of funds for our school.
If you order a minimum of $200 worth of grocery and/or R&R
cards in any calendar month, you will receive a tuition
credit on your next statement for 2½% of your total purchase.
Totals do not carry over into succeeding months.

GoodShop
Do you shop online? Well, did you know that there's an easy and
FREE way for your online shopping to support the school?
It's called
GoodShop, a service provided by the folks at GoodSearch.
How does it work? It's as easy as 1, 2, 3:
1. Go to
www.goodshop.com
2. In the field at the top of the page where it says
"Who do you GoodSearch for?", type in "Northumberland Christian School"
and click the yellow "Verify" button next to the field.
After doing that, the field should now show "Northumberland
Christian School (Northumberland, PA)"
3. Click on one of the retailer links on the lower
part of the page to go to that retailer's site to do your online
shopping as you normally would.
That's it! By using the retailer links on that page,
a percentage of the purchase that you make at those retailers
will be credited towards NCS's account.
There is also a new way to GoodShop. By installing the GoodShop.com
toolbar from
http://www.goodsearch.com/toolbar/northumberland-christian-school,
you just go the merchant's site, do your shopping, checkout, and that's it.
When you checkout, the donation happens automatically! You install the
toolbar one time, and you never have to think about it again. This is
the perfect option for those of us who would like to have these
companies donate a percentage of our purchase to NCS, yet forget to use GoodShop.
Also, be sure to note that the GoodShop page by default just
shows some of the "Most Popular" retailers, a list of only 40 or
so stores. However, in the menu on the left there is a drop-down
box with a list of all online stores that participate. There are
over 1000! Stores like Amazon,
Barnes & Noble, Walmart, eBay, NewEgg, and Dell are just a few
of the places that will donate a portion of your purchase.
So, the next time you want to buy a book, a shirt, a plane ticket,
rent a hotel room or car, or buy anything else online, simply
go to
www.goodshop.com first.
Restaurants & Retailers Gift Cards
You may place your order anytime by the
last Monday of the month and the cards will be available by the
following Monday. In addition, we keep on hand Burger King, Wendy's
Dunkin Donuts, and
Wal-Mart cards in the office to be purchased
more frequently just like we do with the Weis and Giant cards.
If you order a minimum of $200 worth of grocery and/or R&R
cards in any calendar month, you will receive a tuition
credit on your next statement for 2½% of your total purchase.
Totals do not carry over into succeeding months.
Although there are hundreds of businesses who participate
in this program, our
order form
will only list a selection from
our local area. If you would like to purchase any that are not on
our form, please enter it on the "Other" line at the bottom of the
sheet. The complete list of available cards can be found
here. It
includes a wide variety of choices such as Cabela's, Advance Auto
Parts, Best Western International, Disney, Starbucks, American Airlines,
Best Buy, Golfsmith, Dress Barn, and Chuck E. Cheese.
Remember, these cards are not just for gift giving but
can be used by you or your friends and family members whenever
you shop. Buy a few to keep on hand from the businesses you
regularly patronize!
GoodSearch
GoodSearch
is a search engine that gives the same search results
as Yahoo, but donates $0.01 to the school every time you submit a search.
Besides bookmarking the search engine, you can use the search box on the
school's homepage or
add it to your browser's
search box.
Labels for Education
This program allows us to "purchase" equipment for
free by using our label credits. More than just Campbell's products
are eligible. The complete list is available
on this web page
or in pdf form.
You no longer need to clip the front of the
label - just the UPC code itself. The more you save, the more equipment
we can acquire. Thanks for your help!
Box Tops for Education
We also encourage you to participate in the Box Tops for Education
program. Cheryl Delsite co-ordinates this program for us.
NCS receives ten cents for each coupon you send in to the school.

Any parents who can help collecting labels or
boxtops by placing a box at their workplace would increase our
