Chibi Light (Chibitronics) – Megan

Chibi Lights is an interactive book that you can attach copper wires, LED stickers, and a battery to make a light glow inside the Circuit Sticker Sketchbook they give you in the package. It’s very fun to play around with and make lights go on and off on the book. The box comes with a Circuit Sticker Sketchbook, 12 LED stickers ( 6 white, 2 yellow, 2 red, 2 blue), 2 Coin batteries, 2 battery clips, and 15 ft of copper tape.

When I received the package, it was securely inside a yellow package. Once I opened it everything was there. It was easy to open and to see everything I got. Nothing was damaged or missing. The box itself was very cute and the outside of it looked fun and inviting. It made me want to open it right away and see what was inside. Everything inside the box was neat and secure. I opened the sketchbook and was amazed by what was all inside.

There are contents in the front page showing you all of what is in the book. Page 5 explains how to use the book, which was very helpful for me. In the later pages it names all the items you got and how to use them throughout the book. Then the fun began on pages 15-21. That’s when I was able to start doing something. It showed you what items you will need, then the directions, and then the next page was where you stuck the copper tape, LED stickers, and battery on. It showed you where you put all the items. It was very helpful and wasn’t too difficult. Once I finished putting all the pieces together, the LED stickers lit up and it  was so rewarding. There were other pages where you could try other LED sticker patterns.

On pages 85-89 was a debugging guide if the LED stickers didn’t turn on. Even though I had no problem with them, that would be very helpful to others who would need it. Overall, this product was a fun interactive learning experience and it was fun to play around with.
