I listen to music a lot in my life. But I never knew I was doing it wrong. I was doing it wrong until I tried Master & Dynamic’s MH40 Over-Ear Headphones. These headphones come with a bunch of pros and not really any cons! They work great. They look great. They feel great. Now, let me share with you some more clear, detailed aspects of these headphones.
Packaging: It’s always nice when a company packages the item you ordered in a protective, premium (fancy) way. And that’s exactly what Master & Dynamic did. For the headphones, they came in a very comfortable-feeling black soft bag. This keeps the headphones clean and undamaged. The headphones‘ cord comes in a leather circular case. You can open the top of this case and it pops open (staying attached to the case). Inside I found the cable which would connect the headphones to my device. I also found a nice protective covering for the 3.5mm cable.
Look/Design: These are very nicely crafted headphones.
Something great about these headphones is that they have a mute button on them. Underneath the one side of the headphones, there is a little silver notch sticking out with a red led circle in the middle. If you press down on this notch, it will then mute your song. Once you want to unmute your song, you just need to press down on this notch again and it will pop back up. It’s that simple!
Something else that really stuck out to me is that these headphones had two 3.5mm jacks on it. One on the bottom side on the left and on the right. This allowed me to choose which side I wanted the cable running down, which I actually do have a preference for (the right). You can also choose from a variety of different colors for this pair of headphones. I own the brown ones, which I actually like. The brown and the silver colors pair very well with each other.
Sound/Comfortability Quality: Something you definitely want in a pair of headphones is good sound quality and comfortability quality. The MH40 headphones deliver both of these in a positive way. For the sound quality, the MH40 headphones give you a good amount of bass. They really give you that pop to your song. Makes you hear little details you never heard in your song before. Another thing about the sound quality is the fact that these headphones are noise-canceling. So if you just want to sit down and relax to a song you really enjoy even with a bunch of people walking around you and causing a lot of commotion, you can do so. These headphones cancel out any noise around you so that you can relax and only hear your song.
For the comfortability quality, the MH40 headphones deliver great comfort! The ear pads on these bad boys are made of lamb-skin. I never wore a pair of headphones made from this material until I tried these headphones, and I was impressed! They do not cause any ear irritation over long periods of listening to music. They perfectly cover your whole ear and provide a soothing experience.
Should I buy the MH40 Over-ear Headphones?
These headphones do come at a whopping $250. If you’re looking for something affordable, these probably are not the headphones for you. But if you have a good amount of extra cash to spend, consider the MH40s. These headphones deliver such an outstanding sound and have such an elegant look to them. They are very pleasing to the eye. They have a very premium feel to them. You really can’t lose with the MH40 Over-ear Headphones.
