PowerUp Review – Derek

A worthy upgrade

Paper airplanes have been around for so long. The most stereotypical thing to make when you have a paper… make an airplane, but this airplane is different. This one takes paper airplanes to a whole new level. With added electrical parts, this plane can fly that extra distance that you always wanted out of your paper fly things.

Two important questions might be: Does it fly? And Is it a decent upgrade to ordinary planes?

First of all, the plane comes nicely packaged a well displayed cardboard case. It comes with everything that you need to fly it (except the phone with the app). The folding is what you would expect from a paper airplane, simple. Once the electronic part is slid on top of the folded paper, you’re ready to fly.

I did find the plethora of tutorials a little annoying, but did realize they would be helpful for someone that is less tech savvy. Flight mode is where you actually get to fly the plane. Flight is fairly simple.

First you rev up the propeller to a speed of 100%. Then firmly throw the plane just like any other plane. It might take a few tries to get it going some good distance.

PowerUp is pretty great. Simple setup and flies fairly well. It is a worthy upgrade to your ordinary paper airplanes.

Be sure to check out PowerUps Youtube channel. They have lots of tutorials, updates, and examples on there.

Nice action shot.

*Note Mr. Snyder wrecked a PowerUp in our gym… This video makes it look pretty easy.
