Kindergarten And Montessori KinderPlus |
Kindergarten at NCS is a full day program that meets three days
a week (Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday).
We have no plans to move toward a five-day kindergarten, because
we believe that it is very beneficial for five-year-olds to spend
a significant amount of time at home. Many parents through the
years have expressed how much they value those Monday and Friday
times at home with their kindergarteners, and we encourage parents
to take advantage of that opportunity if they are able to do so.
However, we are aware that for various reasons, some families are
not able to keep their kindergarteners at home on Monday and Friday.
For these families, we offer a Kinderplus program.
This program allows kindergarten students to come to NCS five
days a week. A special program is held on Monday and Friday
which is independent of the regular kindergarten curriculum
on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday. The Kinderplus program
operates in conjunction with our Montessori preschool, and it
allows the child to be at NCS on Monday and Friday from 8 a.m. to
3 p.m. We are thankful to be able to provide this option for
families who cannot keep their kindergarteners at home on Monday
and Friday.
The KinderPlus tuition is $1080 a year for the extra two days.
