This is the fourth year that NCS has participated in FBLA. The school's FBLA chapter was organized by advisor, Paul Dubendorf, who teaches accounting at the school. Students have placed well in both the regional and state competitions each year. Last year Lydia Geise took first place in the state competition for Accounting I. Pastor Rees notes that the FBLA chapter is a reflection of one of the school's five basic distinctives: "pursuing excellence in acquiring skills for continued learning and service in God's world."
